SHAWN DONALDSON - EVALUATION

Shawn Donaldson

While you can only learn so much from watching film of a player what I saw on Shawn Donaldson makes me feel he is a player that is not getting enough looks from some college programs.

OhioPrepScene Status: Player to watch - stock is rising.

Shawn has great upside. While he's been overlooked by playing on the same line as Chauncey Incarnato, he has great potential at the next level.

Strengths: Can play all positions on the line. We project his as a Center or Guard at the next level, but in some programs they could line him up at Tackle. Has good feet and doesn't get knocked off balance in working down field to make other blocks. Can snap from traditional or shot-gun with out any problem.

Weakness: Allows rushers to get into his body (hands), this is normal with many young O-linemen and can be corrected by coaching. Needs to learn how to use his hips to create more power in his blocks. This is also an area that can be fixed with more reps and coaching.

Overall: While Shawn Donaldson has an offer from Kent State it will not be his last. With his ability to play any line position some other program is going to look at making him an offer. Don't be surprised a team that runs the spread looks at Shawn with his ability to snap (shot-gun).

Keep an eye out for more on Shawn and other top players from Ohio only at OhioPrepScene. **UPDATE** Shawn has received another offer, this one is from Ball State.
