Redding A Target

Redding A Target

5-foot-10, 195 pound running back Devine Redding holds one Big Ten offer and has several other schools looking at him.

Mineral Ridge (OH) junior Devine Redding broke his thumb in the first game of the season, but he didn't let that hold him back.

"I was still able to play and score. I played four games with a cast on and scored nine touchdowns in those games."

It's that determination that is helping the running back gain the attention from schools.

"Indiana has offered me while Michigan Iowa, Missouri, Ohio State and Cincinnati have all been talking to me a lot."

The junior, who is hoping to bring his 40-yard dash time down from a 4.4 to a 4.3, isn't sure when he would like to make his commitment or what he's looking for in a school. Something the does know is that distance from home won't be a factor in his decision.

"I would like to stay close to home, but even if I have to go a little father it wouldn't matter, as long as I get to be on the field."

In his junior season Redding recorded 20 touchdowns, 1100 rushing yards averaging 10.5 yards per carry with 800 receiving yards.
