Creston Norwayne's Kaleb Harris has been a standout at the school for the last two seasons, combining a 6'4, 200-lb frame with speed and ball skills.
That combination of size and athleticism has lead him to his first scholarship offer.
"Buffalo offered me. I called the coach and he said 'we want to offer you a scholarship. I was at a loss of words. I figured I'd get one hopefully soon, but when it actually happens, it blows your mind."
Harris has already been to see Buffalo and likes what he has seen of the school and experienced with the people there.
"I went up and watched one of their games. It's a nice little school, and a nice little campus. It's cold, but I thought it was a really nice place. I like the stadium a lot, it's big, and the people there are good people."
A second offer may be coming soon as well.
"I have been in contact a lot with Toledo and they've talked about maybe offering me. I went on a couple visits there and they like me a lot, so I'm hoping it comes."
During the fall, Harris was an unofficial visitor at several games and schools have returned the favor by stopping in to see him during this evaluation period.
"I've been to Michigan State, I've been to West Virginia, Cincinnati, Toledo, Buffalo, and I'm going to Akron here soon. Illinois stopped in to see me, Toledo stopped in, Duke, Buffalo was in of course and saw me and Akron, those are ones came to school and sending me letters, Michigan came in and I can't think of any other ones really."
Harris says he has not fully mapped out this summmer's camp schedule yet but will likely be going to Illinois and West Virginia.
