The MAC doesn't get the credit it should. Over the many years great players and coaches have come from many of its programs. The always do a great job recruiting and often beat some big time programs on the field. This week another MAC school gets a verbal from a player who looks to have a great upside.

Willoughby South lineman Jeff Fink has picked Bowling Green over Akron, Navy, Ball State and Central Michigan for his football services.  The 6'6 260lb. offensive / defensive lineman should play on the offensive side of the ball at the next level.

Look for Bowling Green to redshirt and build Jeff into a 300lb. giant on the offensive line in the years to come.  This is a nice pickup for the Falcons on a player who wasn't getting a lot of talk in the recruiting ranks.

This is just another reason the MAC, year in and year out put some great players and teams on the field.  When everyone in Ohio talks about OSU, the MAC with six schools located in Ohio,  take many of its prep players and build soild programs and players who have a chance to play at the next level.  While the MAC is not the hot-bed for top recruits many players who are missed by recruiting guru's find a home and become top players.

Remember don't overlook MAC schools.  They have great tradition and give a high quality of education to many of Ohio's prep athletes.
