A player who has got our attention this year hasn’t received the dues he should have. In the past we have written about Andy Hildreth. Andy is a kicker for Clayton Northmont this year and could be one of Ohio’s best kept secretes.
Andy has hit a 47 yard FG this year ( a new school record ) but what really sticks out about Andy is his punting. Andy has great hang time and while he only has a 40 yard avg. he’s placed 10 punts inside the 20 including one on the one. Andy has great skill in his placement of punts and is not a kicker who just kicks to see how far it goes. He takes pride in being able to place most of his punts and with hang time hitting 4 seconds it allows for Northmonts special teams to have an upper hand in close games.
