For those recruits that have
not look at Miami of Ohio, what’s keeping you back. Today was a big game on the
campus of Miami. The University of Cincinnati came into town, and the buzz was
that another MAC attack was ready in Oxford.
During the day OPS saw many
top recruits around the game. Two that we spoke with were Dover’s Shawn Donaldson and Cincinnati Moeller product Blake Carter. The two spoke for a few
minutes and allowed OPS to snap a pic of them. Both players are taking hard
looks at the Red Hawks program.
What we came away with was a
school in a conference that is making waves across the country. Add to that some
of the best facilities and you have a program on the rise. With a top coaching
staff and many other recruits on hand, the Red Hawks looked to retain the prized
Bell, being played for on the day.
Other players seen around
the game were, David DiFranco ( Grafton Midview ), Tony Pike ( Cincinnati
Reading ), Zach Thuney ( Kettering Alter ) and Clayton Mullins ( Fairborn )
The game was great with
Miami taking advantage of turnovers from UC to get a big lead and not look back.
One problem, UC is known for comebacks and today the Bearcats tried it again.
Falling short of a win left the Cats with its first loss on the season and the
Bell stays in Oxford for another year.
If you have not had a chance
to visit Miami of Ohio, do it. It’s a short drive from Dayton or Cincinnati and
the program is great.
Miami is ready
to score again early in the game.
