2003 is becoming the year of
rain, with the third game this season with some sort of rain, the Warrior have
found wet conditions and victories in each of these contest. Traveling to Piqua
and its state of the art stadium the Warriors look to better their mark to 6-1.
Would the Warriors find a way to stop Piqua at home or would the Indians send
them home with a loss.

Teams getting ready at Alexander
Stadium
The game started with the
Warriors making mistakes early with turnovers to give Piqua great field position
and two early scores. Trailing by two scores early in the first quarter the
Warriors started the climb back and the game would be close until the final
seconds were on the clock.

Marcus Freeman and David Day bring
the team onto the field
Most weeks we speak with
senior Warrior players, this week we changed and spoke with the Warrior
Cheerleaders. This group of young women work hard each week and keep the Warrior
fans into the game. We also had some special guest for this game. Two of
OhioPrepScene.com message board members, Piqua_Rules and Piqua Indian joined us
for some pre-game talk about this battle. We would like to thank both of them
for giving us some time to bring a change of pace to the broadcast.

Most weeks we speak with senior
players. This week we speak with the Warrior Cheerleaders who are much
better looking and also smell better.
Also during the game two
former Warrior greats Derek Jones and John Hollins joined us. We would like to
thank both of them for doing this. But the real story on the night was the
battle between Piqua and Wayne. With the early turnovers the Warriors put
themselves in a deep hole. But they never gave up and fought back to cut the
score with a rushing touchdown and a Drew Eby kick.

Heading into halftime the
Warriors saw a 14 - 10 score on the board and the staff went to work. Coming out
at the half the Warriors worked and were able to put two more Drew Eby kicks on
the board. Making the score 16 - 14 with plenty of time left, Piqua saw several
chances end and with time running out they blocked a field goal try and looked
to get into position for a touchdown or at least a field goal try and the win.
Piqua got close but a flag slowed down the progress and when they had to
complete a big pass play Warrior Marvin Samuel played centerfield and picked
Karns pass to seal the game. The Warriors head home with a big victory and
many computer points this week. Final score Wayne 16 Piqua 14
