Word was floating around that the Buckeyes were soon to land an under-the-radar recruit. Different names were thrown out but no one seemed to mention AJ. AJ is an extremely versatile and athletic football player. AJ played a significant role in Pickerington Central's 9-1 regular season record. The Tigers ran out of gas in the first round of playoffs when they ran into a tough Louisville Leopards team (35-34).
AJ's kicking was impressive enough to earn him 1st Team All-State honors. He averaged over 41 yards per punt and rushed for nearly 1400 yards as a runningback.
While Trapasso is expected to contribute mainly on special teams as a punter/place kicker, but he has tremendous size (6'1 210) and good speed. He could factor in somewhere on the offense or defense if the special teams do not work out.
