GIVES VERBAL WITH IVY

When making a college choice, football shouldn't be the only thing looked at. This student athlete looked at more than just DI and will head to the Ivy League to better his education and play football.

Jared Ison of Olentangy High School has made up his mind and given his verbal to Cornell University. The 6'3 - 175 lb. defensive back/wide receiver saw several DI programs give early looks, but could never get one to make a final offer.

In our early stories on Jared, we spoke that football wasn't the only thing he was looking at in a school. Jared is a great student and academics would play a major part in his choice of a school. New Cornell Head Coach Jim Knowles found a hidden gem in Jared and with the academics, Jared found everything he was looking for in a school.
