PANTHERS OVER TIGERS AGAIN

DIRECTOR OF BASKETBALL
Posted Mar 3, 2004

The Elder Panthers stay ahead just enough to advance.

For the second year in a row, Elder handed Withrow their last loss of the season. It appears that the Panther’s have the Tigers number. Elder was successful in controlling the tempo although Withrow had a chance to win with less than a minute left. Poor execution down the stretch really cost the Tigers. Elder was led by 6’6 senior Thomas Sander who played big despite Withrow’s Chris Knight’s dominating defensive efforts (8 block shots on the night). Elder advances to take Oak Hills in the next round of tournament play.
