Another great game was witnessed by the fans who watched the Division II
State Championship gave between West Brach and Hamilton Badin.
The fans weren't the only ones biting their nails, as several players could
be seen doing the same during this contest. Defense was the focus of this game,
as neither team shot higher than 44% percent during any half. For the game,
Badin would shoot 27.8% and West Branch 37.1%.
Leading the way for West Branch were Ashley Armstrong (12 points) and Tori
Arndt (18 points) these two were helped by Evelyn Woods who snapped up 11
rebounds for the game.
Hamilton Badin would equal West Branch with 18 points in the fourth quarter,
but never overcame the three point separation during the game. Jenni Horvath
couldn't find her touch from the field, but from the line she shot 11-12 and
finished the game with 15 points.
Badin ends their season with an 22-6 record as West Branch wins the DII Title
and finishes with a 26-1 mark.
