OHIO MR. BASKETBALL
The top honor for Boys High School Basketball in Ohio has been named. | |||
For the past three years, King James was Ohio's winner of Mr. Basketball. That's all changed with LeBron now wearing a Cavs jersey and working his way to NBA Rookie of the Year Honors. The 2004 winner is Lima Shawnee star Jamar Butler. The 6'2 senior averaged 31.6 points this past season, ad in 8.3 assists, 5.8 boards and 2.6 steals and you can see why Ohio State and Cincinnati recruited him hard. After giving UC a verbal, Butler found Columbus and OSU calling his name. With much debate, Butler made a change and signed with the Buckeyes. Here is a look at all the former winners of this award. 2004 - JAMAR BUTLER 2003 - LeBRON JAMES 2002 - LeBRON JAMES 2001 - LeBRON JAMES 2000 - TIE - TONY STOCKMAN - CHESTER MASON 1999 - EMMANUEL SMITH 1998 - WILLIAM "SONNY" JOHNSON 1997 - KENNY GREGORY 1996 - JASON COLLIER 1995 - DAMON STRINGER 1994 - AARON HUTCHINS 1993 - GENO FORD 1992 - GREG SIMPSON 1991 - GREG SIMPSON 1990 - BOB PATTON 1989 - JIM JACKSON 1988 - JIM JACKSON |
