One of Ohio's top teachers at the quarterback position is former Wayne Head
Coach and current Northmont assistant coach Mike Schneider. This past week Coach
Schneider held the first of three quarterback camps at Northmont High School.
Coach Schneider provided OPS with the top performers and the coaches who helped
make this a great camp for any quarterback looking to take his game to the next
level.
Coach Mike Schneider: "At last week's session we had 42 quarterbacks from 24
different schools from around the Miami Valley and beyond. Coaches who helped at
this camp were Tony Broering (Springfield South), Jay Niswonger (Valley View),
Shawn Jarzab (Northwestern), John Wortham (Meadowdale) and Loren Meadows
(Northmont)."
Award winners at the camp were as follows.
Ball handling: Ryan Daly - Troy Christian High
School
Accuracy: Tony McNeilan - Versailles High
School
Distance: Josh McGrainer - Troy Christian High
School
"Other quarterbacks who attended who I thought were impressive included.
Tyler Horner (Northmont), Clay Belton (Northmont), Mitch Allen (Sycamore), Drew
Dixon (Springfield Shawnee), Mitch Evans (Milton-Union), Phil Girod (Sidney),
Josh Kelly (Valley View) and Brad Prinz (Carroll)."
For those who missed the first session you can still attend Coach Schneider's
Session 3 Camp. It will be held on July 5, 6, and 7 from 9:00 - 11:15 a.m. at
Northmont High School. You can click on the following link for more information

I would like to thank Coach Schneider for taking the time and helping OPS
find more players from around Ohio to look at.
