One of Ohio's top Girls Basketball players has been named a finalist for the Atlanta Tipoff Club's Basketball Player of the Year awards.

When OhioPrepScene teamed with MVP, it allowed us to bring you a story on one of the top prep Girls Basketball players Alison Bales.  You have been reading about her in the story Talk Of The Town.  Alison  is one of 10 finalist for this great award, along with two other Buckeye State Girls players.

The Beavercreek 6-6 senior center is a three time All-Ohio selection and Parade All-American.

Bales who has signed to play at Duke is averaging 17.6 points and 9.5 rebounds per game for the 20-1 Beavers.  Beavercreek finished second in the final Ohio Division I ratings.

Bales is not the only Buckeye state finalist.  Jessica Davenport of Columbus Independence and Brittany Hunter of Columbus Brookhaven have also been named.

On the boys side, the most talked about Prep player in the nation,  LeBron James of Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary is a boys finalist.

You will be able to finish reading the story on Alison and Brandie Hosking this weekend on OHPS.

This just shows how good Prep Basketball is in the Buckeye State.  And how OhioPrepScene working with MVP was able to give you a great story on Alison before this award.

Thanks to Eric Frantz and the staff of MVP for the use of the story.  You can subscribe to MVP by clicking the link below.
