Recruiting Ohio
Recruiting Ohio

In what should be the first of many early verbals for high school football players. The Ohio State Buckeyes get a verbal from the son of a former great.

In watching Shaun Lane play you can see why Ohio State was after this young man.  Shaun has quick feet and great speed.  Shaun can make you miss him in the backfield and also beat you to the edge with his speed. While he is better known as a running back Shaun looks more like a DB at the college level.  In talking with Lakeview football player Mike Monfredi, he spoke highly of the Hubbard running back.  This past season Lakeview lost to Lane and his Hubbard team in a tight game 35-28.

In watching Shaun's game you could see all of the early stages of a player making the next step in becoming a top football player.  How hard was it to recruit Lane to Ohio State?  You only need to look at the Lane household.  Shaun's dad is a past OSU great.  Thats right!  Shaun's dad is Garcia Lane who played for the Buckeyes and now will have a son do the same.

Shaun didn't get his offer because of his dad.  He is a very good running back who will get lots of looks at DB for the Buckeyes.
