Notre Dame has always recruited the tight end position very well and this year was no different, as the Irish signed Scout.com’s No. 4 rated tight end, Alex Welch from Elder High School (Cincinnati, Ohio). Welch is from the same high school as current Irish tight end Kyle Rudolph and he is one of four players from Cincinnati in Notre Dame’s 2010 recruiting class. Full Story | Discuss
